EngageNWA and the Northwest Arkansas Council are excited to announce an eight-week virtual workshop series, “Let’s Talk About Integrity and Race,” based on Ijeoma Oluo’s So You Want To Talk About Race, and Mary Gentile’s Giving Voice To Values.

Sponsored by the Northwest Arkansas Council, EngageNWA and the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, the series will culminate in virtual talks by both authors. The workshops are being organized and overseen by the Walton College’s Barbara Lofton, assistant dean, and Cindy Moehring, founder and executive chair of the Business Integrity Leadership Initiative.

The Northwest Arkansas Council and EngageNWA are offering the workshop series to the organizations that signed the NWA Leadership Pledge and invite you to nominate one to three members of your senior staff, management and/or board of directors to participate. This is a great opportunity to address the education & training guiding principle of the pledge.

When considering your nominations, keep in mind we are forming a cohort that reflects our region’s diversity, and we encourage established and emerging leaders to join. There is limited space and preference will be given to those whose organizations do not already provide diversity and inclusion training.

Those who participate in at least seven of the eight workshops will receive a LinkedIn certificate in Integrity in Diversity and Inclusion from the Walton College.

The deadline to apply has passed. For questions or more information, please contact Margot Lemaster at margot@nwacouncil.org.
