Northwest Arkansas is a unique community with a national reputation for being one of the best places to live. There are beautiful parks and trails, large companies that attract investment and provide opportunities for small businesses, and accessible world-class museums, arts and culture.
But local residents know the secret to what makes this a special place is the community of neighbors, friends and leaders. It is the people who reside here that make it one of the best places in the country to live, work and play.
The spirit of the community lives within shared values of kindness, consideration and respect for all. Nurturing and building that positive spirit takes intentional effort that is seen every day in different ways people show up for one another.
The work of the Committee for Belonging & Bridging is to provide a foundation of mutual support to collectively continue building a region where everyone feels they have a welcoming home. Committee members will identify priorities for the year and support each other to meet community-wide goals. This cohesive approach will lead to a more united and inclusive region.
