This summer, I was determined to make the most of my time by contributing to something meaningful. I was drawn to EngageNWA because I had heard about their incredible work in the Northwest Arkansas community from someone very close to me. 

Marking its 10th anniversary, Welcoming Week NWA returns this September with a renewed commitment to fostering belonging across Northwest Arkansas.

In early June, EngageNWA hosted a conversation with two remarkable individuals: Janie Mines, the first Black female graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, and John-Rex Spivey, an officer of the Naval Reserve and a native of Rogers, Arkansas.

Join us for the next Onward Ozarks to learn how greater diversity, equity and inclusion contributes to the richness of the Northwest Arkansas community. Northwest Arkansas has grown rapidly over the last several decades, contributing to increased diversity across all levels.

On June 17, EngageNWA partnered with Arkansas United to celebrate new American citizens. The event was possible through EngageNWA’s membership with Welcoming America and a national campaign by Old Navy.
